EARPLUG ISSUE #56: Design Credit

SAL DELLAQUILA

Born in New Jersey, Sal DellAquila is an NYC-based graphic artist focusing on print, motion graphics, and interactive media. His style varies between vector-based illustrations, abstract collages, textures, and street art.

Mostly self-taught, DellAquila never attended a full-time school or university. Instead, he got his start designing album art and working closely with the independent music scene, before obtaining a design internship at the D'Arcy, Masius, Benton & Bowles advertising agency in New York. In 2001, he was hired as a full-time designer at DMB&B, where he worked until 2003. A move to Deutsch Inc. followed, and in June 2005, DellAquila went on to pursue freelance opportunities and focus on his personal artwork.

DellAquila has worked with numerous clients, including Snapple, Monster.com, Old Navy, Revlon, Capital One, Heineken, Tommy Hilfiger, SoBe Power Drink, and many more. His friends call him Salvation, Salamander, Salligator, or anything else that starts with "Sal" — hence, his online home at www.salvationdesign.com.
